We are transformed by the love of God through his Son, Jesus Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We love others because He first loved us and has called us to serve others in that love. Through service to others, we are following in the example of Christ himself who came to serve, giving his life so that we may live (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:14-15).
Take a look at the project based learning assignment our 5th graders presented on Friday! The 5th grade Wax Museum Project is a biography research activity where students dress up as a historical figure and present a short speech about their life. 5th grade U.S. history is taught by Ms. Medack and all 80 of her students did a fantastic job with this fun project. Many of our elementary students walked through the museum and learned something too!
Last Saturday we hosted the PSIA District competition and 90 of our TKLS students competed against students from 12 area schools and homeschools. PSIA (Private School Interscholastic Association) is an academic competition for private and parochial schools in Texas. Our students earned 109 ribbons total, and TKLS won 1st Place in our district! All glory to God! We are proud of our hard working students, helpful parent volunteers, and entire school staff led by Mrs. Kim Schleicher for making this day smooth and successful!
We are halfway through Reading Adventure Week! What a blessing to worship with our prayer partners and give books to those who will love them again! 📚📖
📚 HURRAY for book fair!! Students can pick out something special via e-wallet when their class visits or we have family night on Wednesday from 3:30-6:30! 📚
Our 8th graders joyfully help when they can! Today that meant stepping in at Restoring Hope Texas. Don’t forget next week on Wednesday we are having prayer partner pantry chapel where all our students can make a difference. The biggest needs are… peanut butter, jelly, ramen noodles, canned tuna, canned soup, cereal, instant oatmeal, hamburger helper, and mac and cheese. @restoringhopetexas.
